Delete your SahihScan account

SahihScan is published by deepfai. This page explains how to delete your SahihScan account and the data associated with it.

You only have an account if you chose to sign in. Scanning works without an account — if you have never signed in, no account exists and nothing about you is stored on our servers.

Delete from inside the app

1. Open SahihScan and go to Settings.
2. Tap Delete account.
3. Confirm when prompted. The deletion is irreversible.

Request deletion by email

If you have already uninstalled the app or can no longer sign in, email haris.sidd786@gmail.com from the address you signed in with, using the subject line "Delete my SahihScan account". We complete these requests within 30 days and confirm by reply.

What is deleted

• Your account and the sign-in identity attached to it (email address, or your Apple or Google identity)
• Synced scan history: barcodes, ingredient text and the resulting verdicts
• Your halal profile: strictness preferences and your personal watchlist
• Saved restaurants and notes from Restaurant Mode
• Halal Assistant chat history

What is kept, and for how long

• Anonymized usage metering and error reports are unlinked from your account rather than deleted, so they can no longer be traced to you. They are retained only in aggregate form.
• Purchase and billing records held by Apple, Google or RevenueCat are governed by those companies' own retention rules and we cannot delete them on your behalf. Cancel a subscription from your Apple Account or Google Play subscription settings.
• Data stored only on your device is never sent to us. Uninstalling the app removes it.
